Laser Lines and Stitches was born from the need to recover from a corporate layoff. Founder and CFO, Brian Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems with a Minor in Business. He is also a PMP © certified Project Manager and a certified SCRUM Master. After 17 years with IBM, he was redeployed into unemployment. While feeling like he lost his sense of purpose and after applying to literally hundreds of jobs, he met an entrepreneur who genuinely cared about helping him find his niche.

After a series of aptitude and personality tests, it was decided: why not start his own business and go into customization? So, on Christmas Eve 2023 at the urging of his husband and the cofounder of Laser Lines & Stitches, he stepped out in faith and pressed the button on the order for his first XTool P2 laser machine. This was quickly followed by an M1 laser, a 24” Roland vinyl cutter, complete sublimation setup and now a Bai VS22-2 commercial embroidery machine.

Brian’s husband and cofounder of Laser Lines and Stitches, Michael Johnson is an Army veteran who proudly served during the Gulf War. Michael holds an Associates degree in Computer Science. Michael remains employed by Allianz Life Insurance of North America as an Information Security Advisor Principal. Juggling a full time day job and starting a new business can be challenging and so for this reason, Michael serves as Laser Lines & Stitches’ CEO. Michael is keen on the custom embroidery side of the business and also manages the inventory in addition to supporting Brian on the day-to-day operations.
